Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

  • 300 gr fresh Basil
  • 150 gr roasted pine nuts
  • 2.5 cups Olive Oil
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
  • 3 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Wash and dry Basil, remove Basil leaves and place into blender. Roast the pine nuts for few minutes on the oven and add with the rest of ingredients to the blender. Turn on blender high to mix well all ingredients. Pesto sauce can be used immediately or after refrigerated.

Can be consumed with bread, crackers, as a sauce for pasta, pizza, sandwiches or Caprese Salad.

Servings and Preparation Time. This recipe serves 8 and requires about 20 to 30 minutes to be prepared.
